Manager – Business Development

Location: Initially placed at Ahmedabad, with a possibility of onsite (Europe) travel during the tenure and later permanently moving to any of the European region where we have our presence within 1/2 Years)

Job Purpose:

The Business Manager Sales will lead and manage the sales and oversees activities of the Gateway Group. The key objective of the role is to grow incremental and generate new sales for the business. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands organization’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Will play a strategic role in building creative sales strategies that are focused on consumer satisfaction and revenue generation for the business
  • Create comprehensive and compelling strategic proposals that challenge the status-quo and convince senior sales management with crystal clear added-value
  • Lead the sales activities and targeting specific geography / client segment
  • Develop prospect pipeline
  • Conduct introductory sales calls
  • Independently visit client site to present solutions and get approval
  • Participate in contract discussions / negotiations
  • Participate in trade shows / conferences, when necessary
  • Generation of new database & mining existing database, market research, referrals driving
  • Work closely with the senior sales management in the creation of new sales strategies and approaches
  • Performs other duties as are necessary in the execution of the given duties and any other duties delegated by the Head of Sales, Director of Sales, and the Chief Sales Officer 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computers/IT
  • PG Degree / relevant qualification would be a strong plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales position within a complex and fast-paced business environment, preferably as a Sales Manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven track record for closing large and mid-size companies
  • Desired: extensive network / experience in the industry across UK / Europe
  • In-depth knowledge of technology products and markets as well as competitive knowledge
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly, think beyond traditional methods to exceed client’s expectations
  • Can work independently, success-oriented and have strong degrees
  • Humble approach with the ability to influence
  • Impeccable strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills. Organized, efficient, and flexible
  • Proactive and self-motivated. Action bias with a strong sense of urgency
  • Willingness to travel onsite (Europe) would be required, as an when per the business requirement
